Instructions

  1. TO (Recipient): To Whom or which Region is this being addressed to? @MAGNET, @MR08, @MR08CO, etc.
  2. FROM (Sender): Your FCC Call Sign.
  3. Message Precedence: Routine or Priority
  4. Incident Status: Select “New,” “Ongoing,” , “Resolved,” or “Unknown” to reflect the status of the event.
  5. Category Impacted: what is the category of the affected resource?
  6. News Source: what is the source of this information?
  7. Source Trust / Confidence Matrix:
    Source ↓ / Confidence → High Medium Low
    Trusted Strong reporting. Usable immediately. Reliable source, moderate confirmation. Usable with routine review. Reliable source, but weak support. Verify before acting.
    Questionable Mixed source, but strongly corroborated. Use with caution. Moderate reliability, partial support. Needs confirmation. Weak reporting. Low priority until validated.
    Unknown Unknown source, but confirmed elsewhere. Use cautiously. Unproven source with some support. Treat as lead only. Rumor / unverified. Do not rely on this alone.
  8. Impacted Region: which region will likely be impacted by your news?
  9. State: select the State for which the SitRep is referring.
  10. Country: select the Country for which the SitRep is referring.
  11. Grid: Maiden Head grid of location being reported.
  12. Affected Area Size: Select “Local,” “Regional,” , “National,” or “Unknown” to reflect size of the event.
  13. Narative: Describe, in the shortest most concise report possible, the news you're reporting.
  14. Date and Time/Msg ID: What is the Date-Time-Group of your report? Format: YYMMDD-HHMMz. "250214-0900z". This field will be used as the Message ID.
